Food for a dietary need: rules don’t say. Ask first

General policy prohibits outside food, beverages, and liquids, but Ford Field's guest FAQ notes 'exceptions may be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.' No explicit celiac/gluten-free carve-out is published; contact guest services in advance.

The venue's rules do not say whether food for a dietary need may come in. Ask before the game.

We checked the venue’s rules on September 23, 2026. Rules can change, so check before you go.

Ford Field bag policy

Clear bags only

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 12" x 6" x 12".
  • A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag is also allowed.
  • A small clutch bag, or camera and binocular case, up to 4.5" x 6.5" is allowed.
  • Diaper bags, backpacks, fanny packs and coolers are not allowed.

Medical and diaper bags: Exceptions may be made for medically necessary items after inspection. Diaper bags are not allowed.

Food and drinks: Food, beverages or liquids are not allowed, and coolers are not allowed. Food you need for a medical diet can have its own rule: see Can you bring food into Ford Field?
