Citi Field food policy

Mets games: allowed, with conditions; NYCFC matches: ask first

Mets games: The Mets' accessibility guide says, under Dietary Restrictions, that wrapped food (or food in soft plastic, with no metal silverware) and unopened soft plastic bottles or juice boxes are permitted, subject to security search. The bag policy permits small soft-sided coolers up to 16 x 16 x 8 inches; hard-sided coolers, glass bottles and metal cans are not allowed. Contact the Mets through the Contact the Mets page on mlb.com/mets with questions before game day.

NYCFC matches: NYCFC's Citi Field guide lists only containers: one factory-sealed soft plastic water bottle of 20 oz or less, one sealed soft-sided child's juice box, and small soft-sided coolers. It does not address food. The Mets' rule for baseball games allows wrapped food for dietary needs, but it is not stated for NYCFC matches, so ask NYCFC Fan Assistance at (646) 438-5000 before the match.

We checked the venue’s rules for Mets games on October 10, 2026 and for NYCFC matches on October 17, 2026. Rules can change, so check before you go.
