Food for a dietary need: rules don’t say. Ask first

Outside food and drink are prohibited items generally, but the A-Z Fan Guide states 'an exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.'

The venue's rules do not say whether food for a dietary need may come in. Ask before the game.

We checked the venue’s rules on September 22, 2026. Rules can change, so check before you go.

Caesars Superdome bag policy

Clear bags only

  • Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 12" x 6" x 12". This covers clear backpacks, fanny packs and cinch bags that fit.
  • A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag is also allowed.
  • A small clutch, 6.5" x 4.5", is allowed along with one of the clear bag options.
  • The Saints ask fans not to bring any bag if they can avoid it.

Medical and diaper bags: Medically necessary items are allowed after inspection at a designated gate. Medical bags may enter through any ticketed gate.

Food and drinks: Coolers are not allowed unless medically necessary. Food you need for a medical diet can have its own rule: see Can you bring food into Caesars Superdome?

Gluten-free food at Caesars Superdome

3 gluten-free options at Caesars Superdome. The guide lists each food, where to find it, and what to ask.

Check the Bayou Kitchen & Market and Tostitos Cantina stand pages for [GF] items, then ask staff about the item and shared preparation.

What to ask at the stand
  1. Is this the gluten-free version? Can I see the label?
  2. Is it fried in the same oil as breaded food?
  3. Can you change gloves and use a clean surface?
  4. Is the gluten-free bun kept and toasted apart from regular buns?

I can’t eat gluten

For a medical reason I need food with no wheat, barley or rye, not even crumbs.
